Hi Friends! You have probably been wondering where I have been? So sorry I have not posted anything this week. I have been working quite a bit....and have just been being a mommy and wife to the boys and to my Super Tall Mr. Fix-It Accountant Husband. I have not had a lot of time to sit down at my computer. But..today....I have 45 minutes until I meet my next client. We will be looking at homes on the West side of Norman under $150K......let me know if you know of anything that is not on the market yet.
So...I think my boys have 21 more days of school left. Which means that it is almost time for barefeet...lemonade stands....playing in the sandbox...running through the sprinkler and spending a ton of time on our back porch. We recently had a pergola built over our back porch....and I am super excited about spending my free time hanging out watching the boys play.
So..in celebration that there are only 21 days left of school...I am giving you some fun photos of porches and patios to view. They are just fabulous. Enjoy......

Easter Weekend
Happy Easter!!!!!
I have been using my weekend to organize my junk closet and really think about the meaning of Easter. I watched the movie...."Passion of Christ" last night . And.... Wow...this is an amazing movie. It really spoke directly to my heart. I would highly recommend it to everyone.....children and adults. So..I will be playing this weekend and will be checking in next week. Enjoy your family!

Ideas for Hanging your Photos!
I love photos...professional and just the snapshots that I take at home. In fact...my family likes to call me the paparazzi. There are so many memories of my children that I just don't want to forget. The challenge is printing all the photos that I have taken and hanging the professional photos on the wall. I have a ton in my junk closet that I need to hang up and a ton of photos that I have taken that I want to have enlarged and printed.
I was browsing the internet and found these great ideas for all of my photos. What about you? Are sorting through your photos and displaying them on your wall a project on your to do list? I hope these pics give you some fun inspiration for your HouseLove.

Ideas For Your Home Entry
I hope you are having a nice relaxing Sunday today. I am at my office today for a few hours and thought I would give you a few things to browse through while you are sipping that hot coffee or chai tea (my favorite).
What does the entry of your HouseLove look like? Well...here are a few ideas for you!

I sooo love that dark gray on the walls...and uhhh..hello..is that not the cutest rug? That mirror looks fabulous against the dark walls. |

This entry design could be created in any type of home. It is inexpensive and pulled together nicely. I love the large S. |

I like how the door matches the frames! Do you think this might be a back door rather than a front door? |

Ok...this is the most PERFECT design for a family. Each child could have their own chalkboard and cubby! |
I like how this entry has a small room to the side where children can leave their shoes and backpacks so that they are not strung throughout the house! I will have to remember that for my next home. |
What a great way to make a statement for your family! I love how it is the first thing that someone sees when they walk into this home...it just puts you at ease with the fun little quote! |

My Favorite Soup!
Awwww......it's Friday! Fridays just make me feel happy. Even though I work a lot on the weekends....I still feel the happiness around me.
So...yesterday....the weather was all springy and warm....and today..well....it kinda feels like Fall! So..I am bringing out my favorite fall soup today. It is sooooooo yummy and super healthy. I have to admit that my Super Tall Mr. Fix-It Husband and boys will not eat it...which means I get to eat the entire batch.
I first made this soup for a baby shower about 5 or so years ago when one of my very best life-long friends Sara had her son, Josh. And.....it was a hit. I found it on the Martha Stewart website. So...here is the super duper yummolicious recipe! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Butternut Apple Soup
Ingredients
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 medium onion, diced
1 butternut squash (about 2 pounds), peeled, seeded, and chopped
4 red or golden apples, peeled, cored, and chopped, plus 1 apple, finely diced and tossed in lemon juice, for garnish (optional)
2 teaspoons coarse salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cups homemade or store-bought low-sodium chicken or vegetable stock
2 1/2 cups water, plus more if needed
Directions
1.Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until it begins to soften, about 4 minutes. Add squash, and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 10 minutes.
2.Add apples, salt, cumin, coriander, ginger, cayenne, black pepper, stock, and the water (just enough to cover). Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, and cook until vegetables are very soft, about 30 minutes.
3.Puree in batches in a food processor or blender until smooth, and return to saucepan. Heat over low, thinning with more water if necessary. To serve, ladle into shallow bowls; garnish with diced apples, jalapeno slices, and sour cream if desired
Hint: make sure that the ginger is completely cooked. If it is not well cooked..the soup will not taste as yummy.

It's Flower Time!
It's Thursday.....are you ready for the weekend? I am...we are going to be pretty busy this weekend. I have a lot of property showings..."T" has a birthday party to go to...my husband is finalizing all the end of tax season stuff ......and.....WE ARE PLANTING FLOWERS! Woo...hoo..I love flowers. I don't think you could ever have too many flowers decorating your house.
I bought 120 tulip bulbs from Home Depot about 5 months ago and had big plans to plant them in my front yard. But..are they blooming making my front yard super beautiful? That is a BIG FAT NO! They are sitting somwehere in my garage rotting. Don't you just love it when you do things like that?
So..this weekend....we are planting flowers. My mom bought my Super Tall Mr. FIX-IT/Accountant Husband a ton of flowers for his birthday...so we are planning on planting them as a family. The kids love playing in the dirt and spending time with mommy and daddy together...especially daddy! ;)
So...if you are kinda catching on to what I do in my free time....I am guessing you already know that I have found some great landscaping ideas for your HOUSELOVE! Check them out! Oh..and send me some photos of your flowers or garden! I would love to see them!
